THE BENEFIT OF
ACCREDITATION OF LABORATORY

Recognition of competence of laboratory

Accreditation is a form of determining the technical capacity of testing and calibration laboratories and medical laboratories in carrying out specific testing, calibration, and measurement activities.

Accredited laboratory means it is officially recognized that the laboratory is competent, fair, independent, and therefore willing to provide testing services, measurement, reliable calibration, meeting customer needs.

Marketing benefits

Accreditation is an effective marketing tool for laboratories and a passport to tender submissions for contractors requesting independently validated laboratories.

Through a system of international agreements on mutual recognition, accredited laboratories receive a form of international recognition that allows their data and results to be more easily accepted in foreign markets. This accreditation reduces costs for manufacturers and exporters whose products or materials are tested from an accredited laboratory by reducing or eliminating the need to re-test in another country.

04

Eliminate redundant audits and improve the efficiency of the audit process (which can reduce costs).

Using an accredited laboratory also increases confidence in the:

01

Decisions involving multiple facilities are based on comparable data.

02

Procurement from suppliers is safe and reliable.

03

Reduce costs associated with laboratory problems, including retesting, resampling and time consuming.

04
